  • Use the Fundamental Principle to improve the quality of a product by minimizing the effect of the causes of variation without eliminating the causes
  • Create designs that have minimal sensitivity to input variation
  • Perform a robustness assessment in early engineering design, manufacturing, and supplier quality qualification
  • Reduce design, manufacturing, and supply chain costs and wastes
  • Determine which design parameters have the largest impact on variation in the product design
  • Implement a robust design strategy in engineering design, manufacturing, and reliability engineering
  • Receive project coaching/group project presentations
