BIOGRAPHY

Can Le is an Instructional Lab Manager of the Digital Premedia Lab at the University of Houston. His main subjects are Digital Media Automation (Kodak Preps, Data Merge, XMPie, Acrobat Pro, Apple Scripting), Color Management, EskoArtwork Packaging, Adobe CS, and Digital Publishing.

He was born and raised in Vietnam. He earned his first BS in Computer Science at the University of Technology of Saigon in 1987. He worked there for 10 years and became a Senior Lecturer. He taught programming languages, database management, and computer graphics. He earned a Microsoft Certificate System Engineer at Southern Methodist University in 1999, earned his second BS in Technology Leadership and Supervision emphasis in printing at University of Houston in 2006, and earned Color Management Professional & G7 Expert/Professional Certificates from IDEAlliance in 2013. He had worked for KT-Printing as a Graphic Designer & Computer Administrator, and for Houston Chronicle as a Graphic Designer Specialist. He presented "Variable Data Printing: Data Merge or XMPie" at the International Graphic Arts Education Association (IGAEA) 2012 Conference at Clemson University, co-presented with Professor Zarzycka about ePublishing at the Houston Production Managers Association meeting 04-2013 and at the IGAEA 2013 Conference at University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Can Le has been married to HongPhuoc since 1988 and have two children: an UH Bauer's Dean list student and a T.H. Rogers honor student.
