The Technology Division offers several accelerated degree options for Information Science Technology majors. This option is open to qualified undergraduate CCE Technology Division students wishing to continue their education at the graduate level immediately upon completion of the B.S. degree. Students may take up to six graduate-level credits that will apply to both the bachelor's and master's degrees. This will reduce the total number of undergraduate/graduate credit hours required to complete both degrees.
Accelerated options include:
- B.S./M.S. Degree Program in Computer Information Systems/Cybersecurity
- B.S./M.S. Degree Program in Computer Information Systems/Engineering Technology - Specialization in Computational Health Informatics
- B.S./M.S. Degree Program in Computer Information Systems/Engineering Technology - Specialization in Network Communications
- B.S./M.S. Degree Program in Digital Media/Global Retailing
- B.S./M.S. Degree Program in Digital Media/Human Resource Development
- B.S./M.S. Degree Program in Technology Leadership and Innovation Management or Organizational Leadership and Supervision/Global Retailing
- B.S./M.S. Degree Program in Technology Leadership and Innovation Management or Organizational Leadership and Supervision/Human Resource Development
- B.S./M.S. Degree Program in Technology Leadership and Innovation Management or Organizational Leadership and Supervision/Supply Chain & Logistics Technology
- B.S./M.S. Degree Program in Technology Leadership and Innovation Management or Organizational Leadership and Supervision/Technology Project Management
Petitions Due:
- December 1 for taking courses in the Spring term
- June 1 for taking courses in the Fall term
Eligibility Criteria and Application Process
A student wishing to enroll in the accelerated option should submit a General Petition and include:
- Total hours earned toward current undergraduate degree
- Current cumulative GPA
- Current Technology Division GPA
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Junior standing and completion of 30 semester hours of Technology Division course work
- Minimum 3.0 GPA over all course work
- Minimum 3.25 GPA over all Technology Division at the Cullen College of Engineering course work
Graduate Courses Taken as an Undergraduate
The Technology Division at the Cullen College of Engineering granting the B.S. degree shall determine which graduate courses can be substituted to satisfy the student's undergraduate degree requirements. This determination will be made in accordance with the student's interest, the recommended graduate courses for the accelerated program as chosen by department faculty, and the student's preparation for the course material. It is anticipated that there will be consultation with the graduate degree and undergraduate degree departments.
