The Department of Information Science Technology (IST) prepares students for careers in business, industry, technology and government with programs closely linked to workforce quality and productivity for the region, the state, and the nation. With 2,000 students, it is the largest department in the Technology Division at the Cullen College of Engineering and the leading department in terms of research and education. In the IST department, you can learn Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Data Science, Digital Media (DIGM), and Technology Leadership & Innovation Management (TLIM) with instructors that have a PhD degree and/or years of experience in industry. All our programs are accredited by either ABET, ATMAE or ACCGC.
