Yes, the 5-day PMP Exam Prep course is designed to more than adequately prepare students to sit for the PMI PMP Exam.

The Project Management Foundation course will teach students how to effectively manage a project through lecture and workshops (i.e. how to initiate, plan, execute, control and close a project). The PMP Exam Prep course is focused on preparing students to sit for the PMI PMP Exam (lecture on Predictive and Agile lifecycles, types of questions on the exam, several practice tests).

It is recommended for those students who do not have significant project management experience and have been leading projects for less than two years. If planning to pursue PMP certification, a how-to course, based on the PMI PMBOK Guide will definitely help understand all aspects of project management and help better understand the structure of the PMBOK Guide when taking the PMI PMP Exam Prep course and then studying for the actual exam.

The PMP Exam costs $550 for non-PMI members. It is discounted to $405 for PMI members. PMI membership ($129 annually) is strongly recommended, since it provides access, at no additional cost, to a wealth of project management documents, standards, webinars designed to help prepare for the exam.

Professional Development Units needed to maintain certification. PDUs are obtained mostly through professional development activities and can only be claimed after achieving PMP certification.
