(1 semester project)

Semester Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC)
Week 4 Project kick-off
Week 6 Define phase:
  • Develop a project charter (including problem and mission statements)
Week 8 Measure phase:
  • Map the current process
  • Document and analyze the measurement system
  • Establish the baseline measurement
Week 10 Finalize Define and Measure phases
Week 12 Analyze and Improve phases:
  • Brainstorm and organize all potential causes
  • Perform data and/or process analysis to identify root cause(s)
  • Brainstorm and organize all potential solution ideas
  • Determine the "best solution(s)" for each root cause
Week 14 Final recommended solutions identified and presented to organization for approval
