Dr. Lei Fan is an assistant professor in the Engineering Technology Department, and has a joint appointment in the ECE Department at the University of Houston. Before this position, he worked in the electricity industry for several years. He received his Ph.D from the University of Florida (Advisor: Yongpei Guan) and his B.S. from Hefei University of Technology. His research includes power system operations and planning, electricity markets, optimization algorithms, and quantum computing.
