Executive Master's Degree in Human Resource Development

complete application should include the following items:

  1. Application for Graduate Studies
    Online application is available at UH Graduate School Application, https://www.applyweb.com/uhouston/index.ftl.
  2. Transcripts
    Official transcripts from all institutions must be sent directly to:
    a. Regular Mail

    c. Electronic
    Within the state of Texas, the fastest way to send your college transcript is electronically (Electronic or "Speede" Transcript). We strongly recommend that you inquire at your previous institution about this option. If your previous institution does not allow for electronically-formatted requests, one official hardcopy transcript from each institution previously attended is required.
    For non-Texas institutions, electronic transcripts can be delivered via email to gradschool [at] uh.edu (gradschool[at]uh[dot]edu).
  3. Two (2) reference letters
    • One letter from senior level management.
    • One letter from your supervisor or someone who has worked closely with you.
  4. Resume
  5. Interview
    An interview will be scheduled once all of the above documents are received.

  1. A NON-refundable Application Fees
    A $75.00 application fee is required of all applicants. The fees must be submitted while completing the UH Graduate School Application. The following payment options are available:
    • Credit/Debit Card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover)
    • Pay Online with Electronic Check (U.S. banks ONLY)

    Only applicants whose fees have been paid will be reviewed.

Additional Admission Requirements

The Executive Master of Science in Human Resource Development Program requires a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) from an accredited institution in any discipline and a minimum of five (5) years related business and professional experience. After your application has been reviewed and approved, an interview will be scheduled.

NOTE: International students must have a four-year degree from an accredited university to apply for the EXMSHRD program. Three-year degrees are not considered equivalent. There is no bridge program at UH. Students with a three–year degree will likely need to combine it with a completed master’s degree from their home country before applying.
