The following is a list of courses required of all students pursuing the Master of Science in Engineering Technology - Biotechnology Track. Course Requirements for an Master of Science in Engineering Technology - Biotechnology Track

Thirty-One (31) Semester Hours Thesis; Thirty-Four (34) Semester hours for project seeking students

Core Courses (Seven (7) Semester Hours)

  • BTEC 6100 - Seminar in Biotechnology
  • TECH 6360 - Experimental Design and Analysis
  • TEPM 6301 - Project Management Principles

Emphasis Area (Choose Eighteen (18) Semester Hours)

  • BTEC 6101 - Advanced Biotechnology Techniques and Methods
  • BTEC 6300 Standards in Biotechnology
  • BTEC 6302 - Introduction to Regulatory Affairs
  • BTEC 6303 - Protein Engineering Technology
  • BTEC 6304 - Computational Methods in Biotechnology
  • BTEC 6401 - Bioprocessing in Biotechnology
  • BTEC 6397 - Special Topics in Biotechnology

Thesis Option (Six (6) Semester Hours)

  • BTEC 6399 - Thesis Research (Repeated Once)

  • BTEC Course - Additional 6 hours in BTEC Program Area
