Admission Requirements

Requirements:

  • International students are required to have a 3.0 GPA and domestic students are required to have a 2.75 GPA.
  • For admission undergraduate degree specialization should be in life sciences (biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics, food sciences, pharmacy, plant sciences, biomolecular engineering, biochemical engineering or related fields).  
  • International students must have completed 4-year undergraduate degree or 3-year undergraduate degree + 1 year certification course in reputed institutions.
  • Domestic undergraduate if accepted to program on a conditional basis will be required to take supplementary BTEC courses for background purposes.
  • To be admitted unconditionally to the MS program at least 60 semester hours of college coursework is required.
  • Currently the BTEC graduate program does not accept transfer credit for any of its courses.

List of documents to be submitted along with the application:

  • Three support letters from their professor or employer is required.
  • Course transcripts should be submitted.
  • One page CV/Resume (Times Roman font 11 size., single line spacing).
  • Two-page personnel statement (Times Roman font 11 size., single line spacing).
  • International students require one of the following exam scores: TOFEL (79), GRE (Waived until 2022), ILET (6.5 or above), Duolingo (105) scores. Your Test scores that are more than two years old should be retaken.
  • Incomplete application will not be considered. 

Application deadline:

  • Applicants to the MS program are accepted for spring semesters (December 1st for domestic and October 1st for International students), fall semester (July 1st for domestic and April 1st for international students).
