John A. Sweeney received his PhD in Political Science with a focus in Alternative Futures under the direction of Jim Dator at the University of Hawaii at Ma&Vtilde;noa. At present, Dr. Sweeney serves as an off-site Senior Research Fellow at Westminster International University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, which is currently a candidate chairholder for the UNESCO Chair in Futures Studies for Sustainable Policymaking. He is also a Co-founder of the Participatory Futures Global Swarm, Superfluid Futures, and the Transformative Foresight Lead for the School of International Futures. He has worked "on the ground" in 45 countries on five continents and online with participants from all around the world and currently resides in Kusadasi, Turkey.
