Scholarship

Pursuant to the recent merger of the Cullen College of Engineering and College of Technology, the Technology Alumni Association (TAA) is currently undergoing changes as part of this evolution. In the interim, the TAA will continue operations uninterrupted. New information and exciting opportunities will be posted when approved. Technology Alumni Association Scholarship

The Technology Alumni Association announces the availability of a $1,000 scholarship to juniors or seniors who are enrolled in a minimum 12-hour course load and majoring in a degree from the University of Houston Technology Division at the Cullen College of Engineering.

The Scholarships

The scholarship is a one-year award paid in two installments of $500 in both the fall and spring semesters. Recipients must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher at the University of Houston to receive the second installment of this award.

Eligibility

The alumni selection committee shall consider scholarship, leadership, extracurricular activities, community involvement and financial need in making their selections. There are no restrictions to applicants based on sex, race, nationality or country of origin. Applicants must be US citizens. Recipients of the award shall not forfeit other scholarships, grants or awards to which they are entitled.

Please upload a recent UH transcript and an essay explaining why you are deserving of this award and what your goals and ambitions are following graduation.

The application is open to students January 11, 2021 through March 27, 2021(11:59 PM CST deadline).

Alumni Association Scholarship Form

Winners will be notified by letter in May. If selected as a winner of the TAA Scholarship, the winner must attend the Technology Alumni Association annual meeting in August in order to receive the scholarship.
