Program you attended and Graduation Year: RCS 2024

Current Affiliation: Recent Graduate

How has your career progressed since graduating from the program?
I recently completed a marketing internship with 7-Eleven that I obtained through the NRF career fair at the conference this past January. After finishing that internship in August, I applied and am in the final interview stages for a qualitative market research analyst role for a boutique market research firm.

What specific knowledge or skills from the program do you find most applicable in your current role?
Research concepts and consumer behavior.

What advice would you give to someone considering joining the program?
I would advise someone to take advantage of all networking opportunities through the RCS program. I never realized until my last semester how much the people you know can propel you in your future career or even help you years down the road. There is always an opportunity to learn from anyone you cross paths with and it’s important to keep an open mind and a willingness to learn. Without RCS and the NRFSA program, I most likely wouldn’t have gotten my internship with 7-Eleven and met countless other people in my industry.

Please share any other insights, achievements, or experiences you'd like to highlight:
By being a part of the RCS program and a member of NRFSA, I was able to apply for the NRF student program next-gen scholarship, which I qualified for as a semifinalist. This achievement allowed me to travel to the conference for free and opened so many doors for my future career.
