I am currently an Assistant Professor of the Department of Information Science Technology at the Cullen College of Engineering, University of Houston. I received my Ph.D. degree in Communication and Information Systems from Xiamen University. From 2008 to 2010, I was a visiting scholar at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Duke University. Prior to joining the University of Houston, I also worked as an Assistant Professor at Xiamen University, and then as a Research Scientist in the energy industry.
My research interests include signal processing, machine learning, data analytics, scientific computing, and their applications to subsurface characterization especially for energy transition and security.
