University of Houston College of Technology digital media student, Kelis Woods has been awarded the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) Scholarship. The foundation is a not-for-profit organization that provides technical school, as well as undergraduate and graduate fellowship assistance to those who are interested in a career in graphic communications. As the industry’s largest scholarship program since 1956, the foundation’s goal is to attract and inform young people of the variety of opportunities available to them and provide financial assistance to those pursuing post-secondary education.
“The digital media faculty encouraged me to apply for the scholarship, and I’m happy that I took their advice,” said Kelis. This scholarship has boosted my morale as a digital media student. I’ve always worked hard and expected nothing in return. However, it feels great when someone notices you. I am thankful to the PGSF team for selecting me. Also, I want to thank all of my professors and friends who have helped me on my journey thus far. I will see you all at the top!”
