Consuelo Waight, associate professor human resource development and director of the graduate programs at the University of Houston College of Technology has been appointed president of the Houston/ Southeast Texas Chapter of the Fulbright Association. This leadership role positions her to influence the growth of the region’s Fulbright applications. Waight was selected for a Fulbright Scholar Award in 2016 and spent a semester at the University of Belize assisting with the design and development of e-learning and training frameworks to promote performance-driven workplaces. She was also a Fulbright student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
The mission of the Fulbright Association is to advocate for the Fulbright Program and promote international education. The vision of the association is a world where international exchange is widely recognized as a force for peace.
