The University of Houston College of Technology held a spring 2019 showcase where senior digital media students displayed their portfolios and networked with visiting employers. This year’s DigiFest event was held February 26 at the University of Houston at Sugar Land. Eighty students took part in displaying various projects including eMedia, e-commerce, gaming and simulation, packaging, motion media, digital photography, graphic design, web, and print. In preparation, students were encouraged to research the companies, create professional resumes, produce portfolios, and prepare brief self-introductions. Twenty-five companies attended the event, with forty representatives eager to speak with students about potential digital media positions and internships available at their organizations.
