Technology Division Fall 2018 Class Reflects Goals for Continued Growth

The momentum for growth and expansion of the University of Houston College of Technology continues at an invigorating pace as demonstrated by the number of degrees awarded to exceptional students. The College celebrated another phenomenal commencement season with 630 graduating students in fall 2018.

Among the University of Houston’s recognition of students who graduated with academic honors, were eighty-five College of Technology students earning the “cum laude distinction,” fifty-eight earning “magna cum laude,” and twenty-two distinguished as “summa cum laude.” Sanober Naz achieved summa cum laude and a 4.0 grade point average. As the honorary overall banner bearer, she led the procession into the commencement ceremony. Sanober, also a Dean’s Medal recipient, earned her bachelor’s degree in human resource development. In addition, the department banner bearers were in the spotlight. The banner bearers included Juliane Rozin, B.S. Supply Chain & Logistics Technology (construction management department); Evelynn Nguyen, B. S. Biotechnology (engineering technology department); Emily Erin-Ruth Brown, B.S., Retailing & Consumer Science (human development and consumer sciences department); Steven Pan, B.S. Computer Information Systems (information and logistics technology department); and, Nelufa Yesmin Islam, M.S., Engineering Technology (graduate programs).
