Excellence Award Winners Recognized for Teaching, Research and Service

In honor of their exceptional accomplishments, five faculty and staff members in were recognized during the College of Technology graduation reception, held on May 12 at the UH Hilton.

Dr. Fatima Merchant, associate professor of Engineering Technology won the Faculty Research Excellence award, which recognizes a tenured or tenure-track faculty member for scholarly contributions. Teaching Excellence award winners included Dr. Driss Benhaddou, associate professor of Engineering Technology, and Information and Logistics Technology professor Keith Lancaster. Dr. Wm. Arthur Conklin, associate professor of Information Systems Security received the Service Excellence award; and, Katherine Frazier, academic services program manager, was winner of the Staff Excellence award.
