Technology welcomes Fulbright Student

As a participant in the Fulbright Foreign Student Program, Ghezlane Halhoul Merabet is visiting the University of Houston College of Technology for one year. She is pursuing her PhD in Computer Science at ENSIAS College of Engineering, Mohamed V University, Rabat, Morocco. Her research, "Agent-Based Control System for Smart Grid" focuses on smart grid technology and development of a smart building management system that maintains optimum energy efficiency and a comfortable environment for its occupants. Engineering technology professor, Driss Benhaddou, is her host.

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program enables graduate students, young professionals and artists from abroad to study and conduct research in the United States. The Fulbright Foreign Student Program operates in more than 155 countries worldwide. Approximately 4,000 foreign students receive Fulbright scholarships each year.
