The University of Houston Technology Alumni Association (TAA), hosted a 'Meet the Alumni' panel for the College of Technology Department of Engineering Technology during the fall 2015 semester. The event was held at the University of Houston Alumni Center and featured four recent alumni from each of the programs within the department - Minela Bajrovic (BS '11, Brandon Bell (BS, '10),), Misael Gonzalez (BS '11), and Jose Manuel Lopez (BS '02). The event was the kickoff for a series of panels that ultimately will unite all the departments within the college and ease students into networking with alumni.
The TAA has received positive feedback, especially regarding the panel's broad representation of organizations that included Honeywell, Burns & McDonnell, Weatherford, Haliburton, MD Anderson, Avanade, FMC Technologies, and Biotics Research.
"We look forward to hosting more panels during the spring semester and meeting the talented, dynamic and accomplished students of the College of Technology", said Minela Bajrovic who earned her computer engineering technology degree and is now working as an asset model developer for PAS.
The next panel will feature alumni from the Human Development and Consumer Science department (HDCS), Wednesday, February 10, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the UH Alumni Center.
