The University of Houston College of Technology welcomes students, faculty, alumni and industry partners to the fall 2014 Petroleum Industry Expert event, graciously underwritten by Halliburton. This lecture and networking dinner will be held at the Hilton – University of Houston, October 29, 2014, 5:30-7:30 p.m. The featured speaker is Christopher Barton, senior vice president of Global Offshore Business Development at Wood Group Mustang.

Since 2008, Halliburton has supported the college through highly valued events such as the lecture series, and through scholarships to students involved with the Petroleum Technology Initiative directed by Jack Christiansen.

The networking session is a popular addition to the events, where professionals from oil and gas operating, engineering and service companies will facilitate a broad range of discussions ranging from project management and subsea equipment to safety and security challenges, and social responsibility.

This event is open to all University of Houston undergraduate and graduate students and faculty from the colleges of Technology, Engineering, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Business, and Law. UH Alumni and industry partners are also welcome.
