The College of Technology, welcomed students, faculty, alumni and industry partners to the spring 2014 Petroleum Industry Expert event - the fifth in the series, graciously underwritten by Halliburton. This industry roundtable and networking luncheon was held at the Hilton - University of Houston, April 15.
Since 2008, Halliburton has supported the college through highly valued events such as the lecture series, and through scholarships to students taking courses in the Petroleum Technology Initiative directed by Jack Christiansen.

Networking session table hosts from Halliburton, AIG, RPS Company, Premium Valves, Aker Solutions, Shell International Exploration and Production, Incorporated, Arena Offshore, LP, and UH facilitated a broad range of discussions ranging from project management and subsea equipment, to reservoir characterization, health, safety and security challenges, and social responsibility.
Featured speaker, Charlie Duhon, HSE Manager with Arena Offshore, LP, provided insight into managing Gulf of Mexico Deepwater operations following the Deepwater Horizon, or Macondo, incident in 2010.
