New Human Resources Development Graduate Program Develops Global Leaders

The Human Development and Consumer Sciences Department (HDCS) successfully launched the Executive Master's in Human Resource Development this fall. This graduate degree program is a unique experiential program that develops participants to lead learning and change in their organizations.

A variety of Houston-area employers including Conoco Phillips, Hess, Applus RTD, Lone Star College, Technip, Texas Children's Hospital, Flowserve, Bechtel, and CPanel employ students in the 2012 cohort. Instruction takes place at the University of Houston Sugar Land campus, where courses are presented in traditional and hybrid formats using synchronized technology. This allows students the flexibility to travel for business without missing class. In addition to on-site classes, students will travel to Sao Paulo, Brazil in June 2013 to participate in a cross-cultural, international component of the program.
