The TAA Scores Again for Education!

For some people, Friday the 13th marks bad luck, but not true for the Technology Alumni Association (TAA). They scored more than $10,000 for scholarships for the College of Technology at their 16th Annual Golf Classic held at the Woodforest Golf Club in Montgomery Friday, April 13th.

"We had an extremely successful tournament," beamed Ralph Reno, TAA President. "We had 84 players this year, including students, and many were newcomers."

"We had terrific title sponsors this year that helped make the tournament the success it was," added Reno. "Dixon & Company, CPAs and Wealth Management, led as our Cougar Sponsor. Momentum BMW, Fast Track Specialties, Lord Abbett and Marek Brothers followed as our Red & White Sponsors, while Dixon Golf and Brick House Tavern pitched in with course gift items. Woodforest Golf Club also did an excellent job making sure the tournament ran smoothly."

"A highlight for the golfers was when Dean Fitzgibbon came to give closing remarks," stated Reno. "Everyone enjoyed seeing the Dean and it really helped end the day on a high note while sealing the theme of camaraderie."

"Our goal is always to raise money for scholarships, but the tournament accomplishes so much more," explained Reno. "It brings us all together to fellowship with other Cougars and that connection creates a close bond that keeps bringing us back each year. The tournament also presents great networking opportunities that enable Coogs to do business with other Coogs.
