HDCS Hosts International Conference

The Department of Human Development and Consumer Sciences hosted the Association of History, Literature, Science, and Technology's (AHLiST) 2011 Annual Conference in collaboration with the Universidad Complutense Madrid and Purdue University. The theme of this year’s conference, held on the UH campus May 20-22, was “Technology and Future.” Over 70 participants traveled from multiple continents to attend.

Keynote speakers Dr. John Lienhard and Dr. Michael Lutomski, as well as various other speakers, discussed research being conducted by colleagues from across the globe. Dr. Shirley Ezell, Dr. Marcy Norwood and Dr. JK Park were co-chairs of the conference and their efforts were recognized by HDCS Chair Dr. Carole Goodson.
