The department of Human Development and Consumer Sciences is pleased to announce that the Consumer Science and Merchandising program will now be called Retailing and Consumer Sciences. The new name came from recommendations from the Consumer Science and Merchandising Advisory board to reflect changes and trends in the retail industry. The courses and degree plan will remain unchanged.
The Bachelor of Science in Retailing and Consumer Sciences develops retail professionals with a strong foundation in consumer-oriented business practices in the fields of retailing, merchandising, technology entrepreneurship, e-tailing, sales, customer services, public relations, store management, operations, retail marketing and promotions.
