The official deployment of AT&T's Advanced TV U-Verse in the University of Houston was celebrated today in the AT&T Lab, the first of its kind in an institution of higher education in the world. Among the guests were for the University of Houston: Dr. Elwyn Lee, VP of Student Affairs of the University of Houston, Dr. William Fitzgibbon, Dean of the College of Technology, Fred Lewallen, Academic Dean of the College of Technology, Dr. Enrique Barbieri, Chair of the Engineering Technology Department and for AT&T John Regan, AT&T VP for Government and Education for the Western United States, Debbie Griffith, Regional VP for East Texas and Louisiana, Carlos Avila, U-Verse Marketing Director, Susan Carraway, Manager of GE Accounts, and Jim Segovia, Account Representative among others.
