What's Happening with the Technology Alumni Association?

Quarterly Happy Hour Kick off

The Technology Alumni Association kicked off the New Year with a happy hour, Thursday, February 16th at Mandola's Deli. More than 35 College of Technology alumni gathered to enjoy light bites, drinks, and hear updates from Mike Pede, University of Houston associate vice president of alumni relations, Jennifer Knobloch, special events coordinator for the College of Technology, and Minela Bajrovic, president of the UH Technology Alumni Association.

The happy hour was a great way to network with others from the diverse majors within the College of Technology.

Miss this one? The happy hour series will continue on May 16, August 10, and November 9.

Come out and meet as many other Technology grads as you can, discuss your endeavors, and make some powerful connections.

Sign up for the next happy hour on UHAA events page!

Meet the Alumni—Entrepreneurship

The Technology Alumni Association continued its commitment to supporting the students of the college with the "Meet the Alumni" panel. This event features young alumni from each department, answering students' questions and sharing "I wish I knew" stories.

A panel featuring two highly accomplished College of Technology alumni, Cougar 100 business owner Irsan Tisnabudi and former Cougar football player turned documentary producer Ricardo Bates. The panelists talked about the meaning of entrepreneurship and how they built a successful business by following their passions.

March of Dimes

The University of Houston hosted the Houston March of Dimes walk and the College of Technology and Technology Alumni Association came out to support. The TAA is honored to support our community and hopes to continue participating in community events.
