Carlo Deason Selected for Honor Society

Carlo Deason, College of Technology Academic Advisor III, has been nominated for membership in the Delta Iota Chapter of Phi Beta Delta, Honor Society for International Scholars. The members of Phi Beta Delta represent faculty, staff, students, and members of the community are selected based on their international orientation, scholarship accomplishments and/or contribution to international exchange.

Phi Beta Delta is the first honor society in the United States dedicated to recognizing scholarly achievement in international education and to promoting international understanding. Currently, the Society has chapters at 192 colleges and universities and its membership includes distinguished faculty and staff, international students, and U.S. students. All members have demonstrated a strong and active international commitment, an interest in international affairs, and a desire to promote international understanding.

New initiates were inducted at the Annual Induction Ceremony 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at the Elizabeth D. Rockwell Pavilion of the M. D. Anderson Library on the University of Houston campus.
