Dean Fitzgibbon welcomes more than 4,000 students

I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to our 4,062 new and continuing College of Technology students. According to current enrollment reports, we have advanced significantly toward being among the largest Colleges on this campus.

We are proud that all of our academic areas have steadily demonstrated outstanding growth each semester and academic year. As an example, undergraduate student enrollment in the Information and Logistics Technology Department has exceeded the 1,500 mark, which is 6% higher than spring 2013. The Human Development and Consumer Sciences Department grew by 5%, mainly driven by the increase in student enrollment in the human resource development program. Our Biotechnology program has shown amazing progression with a 15% increase in enrollment. The newly formed Construction Management Department has nearly 500 B.S. and M.S students enrolled this semester.

We sincerely appreciate the continued interest and expressions of support from our students, alumni, and friends. You are a vital part of our “family”. We are looking forward to your involvement with the College of Technology and UH this semester.

With warmest regards,

Dean William F. Fitzgibbon, III
