Last month’s early estimates showed that the College of Technology’s enrollment was approaching the 4,000 mark. Now the official records confirm that the college’s high rank among the top five at the main UH campus. The 4,002 technology undergraduate and graduate students enrolled this semester represent a 7.7% increase since last fall and roughly 10% of the current University of Houston enrollment.
”Our vision for the College of Technology is to be recognized as the leading source of the best technology education in the United States. Our position among the best, will stem from our focus on four key areas: academic quality, enrollment, fundraising and research, with student success as the core. My expectation is to reach a total enrollment of 6,000 students in years to come, a very realistic goal as we continue this pace,” said Dean William Fitzgibbon.
