Dr. Wajiha Shireen, professor in Engineering Technology and the Electrical and Computer Engineering departments at UH has co-authored a research-based publication with graduate student Sonal Patel. Dr. Shireen’ s current research interests include power quality issues, active power filters, utility interface issues, power conditioning systems for fuel cells, and wind and solar energy systems. This new book provides an analysis of cost-effective system that ensures the optimum use of solar energy.
