College of Technology Faculty Teach Summer Course in Johannesburg

Elizabeth Wetzel, Director of the Center for Logistics and Transportation Policy (CLTP), and Dan Cassler, Instructional Assistant Professor with the Supply Chain and Logistics Technology academic program at the College of Technology, traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa, this summer to teach a certificate course in International Logistics. Professional students from several countries in Africa attended the week long course, and all twelve students received certificates at the closing event.

Ms. Wetzel described her teaching experience in South Africa as, “extraordinary and very rewarding. Supply Chain and Logistics education is in great demand globally, both at the Continuing Education level and as an academic degree program. The industry is booming and Houston is recognized for its very active port, availability of jobs, and for the excellent quality of its educational programs.”
